Your own domain (Business / Pro)

Use an address like shop.yourdomain.com instead of your khaita.app address on the Business / Pro plans.

Connect a domain

  1. In your dashboard, add the domain you want, such as shop.yourdomain.com.
  2. At your DNS provider, create a CNAME record named shop pointing to stores.khaita.app.
  3. Wait for KHAITA to check it. It re-checks every 5 minutes and e-mails you when the domain is active.
  4. SSL (https) is issued automatically. Nothing to buy or install.
  5. Press "Make primary domain". Your khaita.app address then redirects customers to the new domain.

Using a root domain (no www or shop)

A root domain (such as yourdomain.com) cannot use a plain CNAME. You need a DNS provider that supports CNAME flattening or an ALIAS record. Not sure? A subdomain such as shop is the easiest.

Not working yet?

  • DNS changes can take from minutes to a few hours to spread. KHAITA checks every 5 minutes for 72 hours; after that the domain shows as failed. Fix the DNS and press Check again to restart the window.
  • Make sure the record name and value have no extra spaces or dots.
  • Check CAA if you set it: if your domain has CAA records, they must allow letsencrypt.org, pki.goog and ssl.com, or SSL cannot be issued.
  • A store can connect up to 2 domains of its own.

If you downgrade

If you move to a plan without custom domains, the domain keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. Then the store goes back to its khaita.app address.
